Glycerin is a humectant1 and works by locking water in the skin’s outer layer to maximize moisture levels. It’s also known to slow the evaporation of water from your skin.

It can also be found in Agency’s Cloud Care Duo which includes the Cream Oil Cleanser and Weightless Whipped Moisturizer. Glycerin is also often found in other moisturizers, serums, or eye creams. Are there any side effects?
Glycerin is commonly included in many products and is generally considered to be non-irritating at recommended concentrations. As with any topical ingredient, a reaction is possible. It’s important to note that applying 100% pure glycerin could cause moisture loss from the lower layers of the skin and lead to skin dryness.
