### **What is the difference between Curology and Agency?**

Agency is a brand for personalized, future-defining skincare that can evolve with your unique needs and goals over time. We know that, while the introduction of Agency is exciting, it may also stir up some questions—especially if you’re a current or past Curology customer. We’ve outlined some answers below that we hope will help you better understand the difference between the two brands and how you can continue your skincare journey with the right support you need. 

### **What is the difference between Curology and Agency?**

[Agency](https://agencyskin.com) is a personalized prescription skincare brand focused on treating signs of skin aging and supporting skin longevity, brought to you by the team at Curology. Although we share the same network of medical providers and skincare facilities, we are separate brands with different skincare focuses.

While both brands offer customized formulas, Agency formulas contain four active ingredients each, which is one more active ingredient compared to most Curology formulas. Curology’s ingredients are compounded together to target acne skin concerns, while our Agency personalized formulas are designed to treat signs of aging, like texture, wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and more. 

Additionally, a key feature of Agency is that you can gently increase the strength of your [Night RenewRx](https://withagency.com/products/future-formula) over time by completing [check-ins](https://support.agencyskin.com/articles/-rJqV2O3_) before every shipment. Your dedicated medical provider will work with you to get to the right strength over time, depending on your goals and how your skin responds.

### **Why do I have to choose between the brands?**

As our two brands share a medical practice, we need to have all your medical information in one place (one account). This ensures that your licensed medical provider can be fully dedicated to your skincare journey—from the active ingredients in your formula, to how your skin responds to treatment along the way. 

We believe the best care is continuous—which is why, if you’d like to try the other brand, you can go through our transfer process and your licensed medical provider comes with you. Whether you’re using Curology for acne or Agency for anti-aging skincare, we ensure each medical provider is equipped with extensive knowledge and training to best care for your skin. 

  

### **How do I transfer from Curology to Agency?**

Our goal is to help make the transfer as easy as possible.

 If you’d like to transfer brands, please message your provider and they can start the process for you. Note: you must be subscribed in order to go through the transfer process.
